2008 Kia Rio Review

KIA’S new compact people-mover, the Rondo 7, is proof positive that the Korean company is moving forward in design and engineering, with a promising blend of compact exterior, roomy and well-packaged seven-seat interior and – given the inexorable climb in fuel costs – the bonus of a fuel-efficient 2.0-litre petrol engine.

Kia Rio was setting new standards for subcompacts even before last year’s complete makeover. Now this roomy little car is better than ever. Rio has received Autobytel’s “Editor’s Choice for Most Improved New Car,” and ranked highest for initial quality in the subcompact segment in the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Initial Quality Study. Rio has also been recognized as one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the market by both the Environmental Protection Agency and by J.D. Power.

The ‘06 Rio that earned all that acclaim was offered as a practical sedan or as a more deluxe and sporty five-door hatchback called Rio5 SX. For ‘07, Kia has added an SX-trimmed sedan featuring all of the hatchback’s sporty equipment: front fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, metal-finish interior trim, metal pedals, black mesh sport fabric seat inserts and door panels, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and red stitching and highlights throughout.

The Kia Rio sedan and five-door hatchback are powered by the same 110-hp, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. It’s a sophisticated, modern engine, complete with dual overhead camshafts and variable valve timing. Safety features for all models include front seatbelt pre-tensioners along with six airbags: dual frontal, front seat side-impact and full-coverage side-impact curtain.

sedan is still available as a very basic base model or in more mainstream LX trim. New for ‘07 is the sporty SX. The Rio5 five-door hatchback remains available exclusively in SX trim.

2008 Chevrolet Malibu Review

The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu is an all-new model. This edition of the Malibu shares its underpinnings with the other GM cars mounted on the Epsilon front-drive platform, including the new Saab 9-3, the new Saturn Aura, the Pontiac G6, the European-market Cadillac BLS, and the German Opel Vectra. That’s a fine group of cars to be associated with and the Malibu is expected to be the biggest seller among them.

The Chevrolet Malibu nameplate has been around for a long, long time, in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Once a big car, the Malibu has in recent years been Chevrolet’s bread-and-butter sedan, fitting in the lineup just below the larger Impala, which is itself a downsized version of the old full-size Impala.

The Malibu will be sold on its obvious exterior glamour, its initial pricing, and its good fuel economy, with EPA ratings of 22/30 mpg for the base 4-cylinder and 4-speed automatic, 17/26 mpg for the V6 engine and 6-speed automatic, and 24/32 mpg for the so-called mild Hybrid. All models are four-door sedans with front-wheel drive.

In short, we think the Chevy Malibu stands up well when held against the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord gold standards. Choosing among them largely comes down to nitpicking, splitting hairs and personal preference. Camry and Accord may have an edge on resale value, but they’re also likely to come with higher price tags. In any case, we don’t see the gap between this Chevrolet and the imports that we used to see

Suzuki XL7 review

Suzuki XL-7 was designed to appeal to people who liked the idea of having seven-passenger sethe first XL-7 was neat in theory but flawed in execution..

The first XL-7 was neat in theory but flawed in execution. Its third-row seat was too small to be of any real use and its aging truck-based design, claustrophobic cabin and poor-quality interior pieces relegated it to bit-player status among a growing and increasingly refined field of midsize  contenders.

The new Suzuki XL7 is the largest, most comfortable Suzuki SUV ever built, with a spacious, functional and refined interior. With deep footwells, the XL7 provides lots of room to stretch out. The second-row 60/40-split seats tumble forward for easy access to the third row, or fold completely flat. The optional 50/50-split-folding third-row seat can be folded flat as well for additional cargo-carrying room.

Ford Kuga review

Ford Kuga is an old kind car which are known by all the world ,they have many light point ,if you need a car ,please read these words.

The Kuga is derived from the fantastic Focus, so it is no surprise to find it strikes a good balance between handling and comfort. It is accurate and grippy through corners, and the steering offers you a choice of assistance weights. There seems to be little difference though – all three are precise and communicative. Just a single engine is offered for now, the 2.0-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel. This is a unit we have always rated highly, and it’s as impressive as ever here, with a responsive and smooth nature. A 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo petrol, as seen in the Focus ST, is also scheduled for the Kuga, too. The position of the engine stop-start button is odd, though – it sits between the two main air vents

. The Kuga is Ford’s first genuine entry into the compact SUV class. It competes with the likes of the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, as well as the Volkswagen Tiguan. Like those cars, it has been designed mainly for driving on tarmac, so it’s no surprise Ford has eschewed a chunky look in favour of a more athletic approach to the styling. With its trademark grille and swept-back lights, we think it is one of the best-looking 4×4s around. It comes across as a premium product. It is also very well equipped, in both Zetec and Titanium trim.

The Kuga’s premium look is reflected once you’re behind the wheel. Ford has really upped its game in terms of interior quality, and this shows in the Kuga. The layout is simple but stylish, yet in spite of the abundance of black trim, it isn’t gloomy. The driving position is spot-on and all-round visibility is good, too, even if the thick C-pillars make parking tricky. In the back it feels very similar to a Focus, although the Ford isn’t quite as spacious as the class-best. Folding down the rear seat demands the seat bases to be flopped up, and the sliding bench has a somewhat restricted range. But the boot itself, accessed through a handy split tailgate, is a decent 410 litres, and there’s extra storage under the load floor. Fuel economy isn’t bad either, and the CO2 figure of 169g/km is, for an SUV, fantastic. What’s more, 12,500-mile service intervals will be well serviced by a huge dealer network, which charges competitive rates

Many people love the car of Ford ,because the Ford have very high speed .so it is necerssary for you to read these words

The new 2008 Cadillac CTS review

The new 2008 Cadillac CTS looks great and is relatively roomy inside.

The 2008 CTS Cadillac boasts major changes to the engines and chassis that upgrade performance. The CTS offers a choice of two V6 engines and a choice of either a newly designed six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual, making it the only American luxury car still available with a manual. The CTS comes with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The front and rear tires are a full two inches farther apart in track width for 2008, so the general body shape is wider, and a great deal more aggressive looking, with exaggerated front and rear wheel flares.

In addition to the traditional 3.6-liter V6, there’s a whole new 3.6-liter, 24-valve V6 engine with direct fuel injection that makes 15 percent more power. The new engine not only makes more power, it gets better fuel economy, even after adjusting for the new, stricter rules that the EPA is now using for fuel economy labeling. (Read the article)
